Who we are

ANOTHR Recruitment (ANOTHR, we, us) is a specialist property recruitment business working across South East Queensland, including Brisbane and the Gold Coast. We are a service-area business and do not operate from a public street address. You can reach us at talent@anothrrecruitment.com or on 0483 938 694, Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm AEST.

This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it and who we share it with, in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

Candidates: your name and contact details, your CV and work history, qualifications and licences, salary expectations, work rights, your preferences about roles and locations, and notes from our conversations about what you are looking for, along with the details of any referees you nominate and what they tell us.

Clients: business contact details for the people we deal with, the information needed to run a search (the role, the team, the reason the seat is open and the salary band), and your views on the candidates we present.

Website visitors: technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, and the pages you visit, collected through the analytics tools described below. If you use the contact form, we collect what you type into it.

How we collect it

Most of what we hold comes directly from you: through the contact form on this site (name, email, phone, company or current employer, enquiry type, message and an optional CV), by email, over the phone or in person.

We also collect information from job boards such as SEEK when you apply for a role we have advertised, from professional networks such as LinkedIn, from referrals and from referees. If someone refers you to us, we will tell you where your details came from when we first contact you.

Roles listed on this site are advertised by ANOTHR on behalf of our clients. Applying through the site is an expression of interest, not an application to the client directly and not an offer of employment.

Why we collect it

One reason: to run recruitment properly. For candidates, that means matching you to roles, representing you accurately, checking references and qualifications where a role calls for it, and staying in touch about opportunities that fit. For clients, it means delivering the searches we are engaged on.

We also use contact details to reply to enquiries, and website data to improve the site.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for anything unrelated to recruitment. If you receive market updates from us and no longer want them, you can unsubscribe at any time.

Who we share it with

A candidate's details are only presented to a client with the candidate's consent, and only for a specific role. We do not send CVs out on speculation.

A small number of service providers handle information on our behalf: Resend, the email service that delivers contact form submissions to our inbox; Google Workspace, where a copy of each website enquiry is recorded in a spreadsheet and any uploaded CV is stored in a Google Drive folder; Vercel, which hosts this website; Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity and Google Tag Manager for website analytics; our recruitment CRM, where candidate and client records are kept; and SEEK, where we advertise roles and receive applications.

We may also share information with our professional advisers where needed, and with government bodies, regulators or law enforcement where the law requires or permits it.

Overseas disclosure

Some of our service providers store or process data outside Australia. Resend is a United States email service and Vercel serves this website from a global network, so the contents of a contact form submission and routine server logs may pass through or be held overseas, including in the United States. Our Google Workspace account is an Australian business account, but Google, Microsoft and the analytics tools above operate globally.

We use these providers only for the purposes described in this policy. By submitting information through this site you acknowledge that it may be handled in this way.

Cookies and analytics

This site uses cookies for analytics only. We use Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand how visitors use the site and where it could work better. Clarity records anonymised session replays and heatmaps; form fields are masked, so what you type is never captured.

We do not run advertising pixels or retargeting at launch, and we do not show a cookie banner because one is not required under Australian law. We disclose our use of analytics here instead.

You can opt out at any time: block or delete cookies in your browser settings, browse in private mode, or install Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The site works normally without analytics cookies.

How we keep it safe

Access to candidate and client records is limited to the ANOTHR team and protected by the account security of the services we use. Information sent to and from this site is encrypted in transit. No system is perfectly secure, so if we become aware of a data breach that is likely to cause serious harm we will notify the people affected and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, as the law requires.

How long we keep it

We keep candidate records while there is an active relationship, because many of our best placements come from staying in touch over years. We keep client records for the life of the engagement and for as long as our legal and accounting obligations require.

You can ask us to delete your information at any time. We will do so unless the law requires us to keep it, and we will tell you if that is the case.

Your rights

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you and receive a copy of it. You can ask us to correct anything that is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete. You can ask us to delete your information. You can withdraw your consent to being presented for a role, or to us holding your details, at any time. And you can unsubscribe from any email updates.

To do any of this, email talent@anothrrecruitment.com. We will respond within a reasonable time, usually within 30 days, and access requests are free. We may need to confirm your identity first.

Complaints

If you think we have handled your personal information incorrectly, tell us first. Email talent@anothrrecruitment.com with the details and we will look into it and reply in writing. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the business or the law changes. The current version is always at this address, dated at the top of the page.
