Nobody Publishes Salaries. Here’s Why We Do.

Across the property job ads we reviewed, almost none showed pay. That asymmetry hurts candidates and employers — so we publish the bands.

By Braydan Hartigan

Go looking for a salary on a property job ad and you will mostly find “competitive remuneration”. Almost nobody in Australian property publishes what roles actually pay. We think that asymmetry is bad for everyone — candidates price themselves off a title, employers write ads that attract nobody, and the first honest conversation happens three interviews too late.

What we publish instead

  • Real ranges for every role on every desk we run — dated 2026, so you know they are current, not evergreen.
  • Base versus on-target earnings split out explicitly on every commission role — the number one source of candidate disappointment in this industry.
  • State differences flagged where they are material.

No PDF, no email gate, no “talk to us for the numbers”. The numbers are the point. The whole guide is free on this site.

Why give it away?

Because the salary conversation is where hires fall over. A candidate who knows the band before the first call doesn’t get to offer stage and walk. An employer who knows the market before writing the ad doesn’t spend six weeks fishing with the wrong number. Transparency costs us nothing except the occasional awkward conversation — and it is exactly the conversation worth having early.
